I’m so pear-shaped. My hips and thighs are about 80% of my body weight and are 2x the Original Don’t Mess With Jeepers We Know Places No One Can Find You Sweatshirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this width of any other part of my body. A fair bit of that is in my natural build; the rest is just fat. I embrace that fact. I’m very fortunate that I’m 17 and my mom has never policed the way I dress. I wore a crop top the other day (and I’m curvy) and my mom just said “that’s a cute top!” I wear shorts a lot. They don’t flatter my giant thighs, but they’re comfortable and make me feel good. I don’t live to please others. But I get that this is a struggle; you say you’re 14. That’s young enough to still live primarily under the rules of your parents- maybe starting to get freedom, but nothing much yet. It can be hard to feel you can go against what your parents tell you to do.
